Xiong (USA), Sadaukassova (Kazakhtan) Become World Junior Champions

Vladislav Artemiev took the silver, Dinara Dordzhieva got the bronze.

The World Junior U-20 Championships ended in Bhubaneswar, India. The 15-year-old Jeffrey Xiong (USA) confidently secured first place with a round to spare and finished on 10.5 points out of 13. His coach is grandmaster Babakuli Annakov, the graduate of Moscow Physical Training Institute. Vladislav Artemiev (Russia) finished second with 9.6 points. Sunildut Narayanan (India) finished third with 9 points. The second Russian player Kirill Alekseenko collected 7 points. 

Dinara Sadaukassova (Kazakhstan) won the girl's championship with 9.5 points. Pv Nandhindhaa (India) and Dinara Dordzhieva (Russia) both had 9 points, but the Indian had a better tie-break and received the silver medal. As for other Russian players, Alina Bivol and Anna Styazhkina finished with 8 points, Karina Ivanova had 7.5 points.
