Young Stars of Moscow Tournament Takes Place in Luzhniki

The event was held as part of the additional programme.


The Young Stars of Moscow tournament took place in the VIP zone of the Grand Sports Arena of Luzhniki as part of the additional programme of the WRBC-2019. 80 strongest young players of the Russian capital, including the winners and medalists of the World, European, Russian, and Moscow championships, were taking part in the event.  

In total, there were eight tournaments in the age groups under 9, 11, 13, and 19 years old (with special prizes for younger participants under 15 and 17 y.o.). Boys and girls were playing separately.   

Olesya Fedorova and Ekaterina Miroshnik won their events with a perfect score.

A blitz tournament for children aged under 15 years old took place as well. 80 participants played 7 rounds according to the Swiss system. All participants were given certificates and gifts. All medalists and winners were presented with prizes, cups, medals, and diplomas. The winners will be awarded during the closing ceremony on December 30.
