Ian Nepomniachtchi Becomes Sole Leader of Gideon Japhet Cup

A big chess festival in memory of Gideon Japhet is taking place in Jerusalem. Rounds 3 and 4 were played in the main rapid double round-robin tournament (time control: 15+10). Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia) defeated Boris Gelfand (Israel) 1.5-0.5. Peter Svidler beat Georg Meier (Germany) with the same score. The Ukrainians Vassily Ivanchuk and Anna Muzychuk drew both games.
