Karatekas Playing Chess

A team match between karate masters and their students took place in Perm.

On March 14, the karate department of the Junior School of Olympic Reserve in Perm hosted an unusual match between masters and their students. Ten best chess players among the first graders played chess against ten strongest karate teachers. The teachers were giving queen odds and time odds – 15 minutes against 30 minutes.

Despite the odds, the masters won the match. However, the main individual prize went to one of the students, Alexander Polomar, who won five games. Yaroslav Vorobiov took second place, Kirill Snigirev was third.
