Second Leg of European Youth Grand Prix Finishes in Jermuk

The winner is Kirill Shevchenko.

The second leg of the European Youth Grand Prix finished in Armenia. Despite a strong line-up, Kirill Shevchenko (Ukraine) convincingly won the event with 10 points out of 11. Shant Sargsyan (Armenia) is second with 8.5 points. Aram Hakobyan (Armenia) came third with 7.5 points. Arseniy Nesterov, the best of the Russians, is fourth.

We remind that the European Youth Grand Prix consists of three tournaments; the winners get series’ points according to the best two tournaments’ results. The final stage will be held in 2018 in Kirishi as well. The first event of the series in Kirishi was won by Kirill Shubin, while Sergey Lobanov (both from Russia) became second. Shubin, Lobanov, and Nesterov still have chances to fight for the highest places in the overall standings.
