World Cadets Rapid Chess Championship Finished in Minsk

Russian players won 6 medals.

The first World Cadets Rapid Chess Championship among boys and girls under 8, 10 and 12 years old finished in Minsk. 626 young chess players from 24 countries took part in the event. Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Shamko visited the second tournament day.

Boys U8:

1. Pham Tran Gia Phuc (Vietnam) - 8 points out of 9, 2. Savva Vetokhin (Russia) - 8, 3. Mikelis Vingris (Latvia) - 8;

Girls U8:

1. Sofia Mutina - 7.5, 2. Anna Shukhman (both - Russia) - 7, 3. Mai Hieu Linh (Vietnam) - 7;

Boys U10:

1. Mikhei Navumenka (Belarus) - 8, 2. Islombek Sundarov (Uzbekistan) - 8, 3. Leonid Lystsov (Russia) - 7.5;

Girls U10:

1. Veronika Shubenkova (Russia) - 7.5, 2. Anzhelika Lomakina (Ukraine) - 7, 3. Nguen Linh Dan (Vietnam) - 7;

Boys U12:

1. Volodar Murzin (Russia) - 7.5, 2. Bardiya Daneshvar (Iran) - 7,5, 3. Mikhail Spizharny (Belarus) - 7;

Girls U12:

1. Anastasiia Dubovyk (Ukraine) - 8, 2. Kseniya Zeliantsova (Belarus) - 7, 3. Nguen Thien Ngan (Vietnam) - 6.5.

Information on Chess-Results

On June 4, the Belarusian capital will host the first World Cadets Blitz Chess Championship among boys and girls under 8, 10 and 12 years old.
