ACF Botvinnik Cup Finishes in Moscow

The winners are Maksim Tsaruk and Alisa Nur-Mukhametova.


The final 9th round of the ACF Mikhail Botvinnik Cup was played in the Central Chess Club in Moscow on October 22.

Maksim Tsaruk (Belarus) won the open event with 7.5 points. Almas Rakhmatullaev (Uzbekistan) is half a point behind. Dmitry Kirillov (Russia) finished on the 3rd place with 6.5 points.

The winner of the girls' tournament Alisa Nur-Mukhametova (Russia) showed a phenomenal result - 8.5 points out of 9. Maftuna Bobomurodova (2nd place, Uzbekistan) and Kseniya Zeliantsova (3rd place, Belarus) scored 6.5 points. 

At the closing ceremony, the winners and medalists were given prizes by the Tournament Director Alexander Bakh, Vice-President of the Chess Federation of Moscow Vladimir Shumilin, and Chief Arbiter IA Alexander Ivanov.
