European School Chess Championships ended in Turkey
Our players won three gold medals and a bronze medal.
The European School Chess championships under 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17 took place in Turkey on June 24-July 3. More than 650 players attended the event. Russian players won three titles and a bronze medal.
Olesya Vlasova won the Girls U-7 event with 8 points out of 9. Evelina Zavivaeva finished third with 7 points.
Olga Melenchuk won the Girls U-9 championship, also with 8 points.
FM Aleksandra Obolentseva won the Girls U-15 championship with 7.5 points.
The closing ceremony of the event was attended by the ECU President Zurab Azmaiparashvili and ISSU President Alexander Kostiev.
