On May 15, the penultimate ninth game of the Women's World Championship Match between Tan Zhongyi and Ju Wenjun was played in Chongqing and finished in a draw.

Tan Zhongyi, who played with the white pieces, didn't manage to equalize in the Nimzo-Indian Defence and had to be on the defensive in a worse endgame. The world champion succeeded in it and the game ended in a draw after the 80th move made by Black.

The score is 5-4 in favor of Ju Wenjun. The final game is ahead, and Tan Zhongyi (who will have the black pieces) needs to win to play a tie-break. Otherwise, a new Chess Queen will appear.
