Hou Yifan Wins a GP Event With a Round to Spare
The tournament takes place in Monte Carlo.
In the 10th round of the first stage of the Women's Grand Prix the former World Champion Hou Yifan played Black against the current World Champion Mariya Muzychuk, her rival in the upcoming match for the chess crown, and won in 29 moves.
Thus, Hou Yifan establisheda point and a half lead with one round to go, and secured a victory in the tournament.
