Irina Perevertkina Becomes Women's World Correspondence Chess Champion

This is her second highest title.

Irina Perevertkina from Moscow won the 10th World Correspondence Championship among women, successfully defending her title. 

In 1989, the candidate master Perevertkina participated in Moscow championship final, in 1990 successfully played in international open tournaments. 

However, he main successes come from postal chess. The two-time World Champion was also the last USSR Champion, won the ICCF Olympiad with the Russian national team, and once finished second in a semifinal of the men's World Championship. 

Irina Perevertkina has an engineering degree in robotics, however, for a long time she works in a field of chess, and is a well-known children trainer.
