No lead changes in the Premier League

St. Petersburg took the sole lead in the women's event.

In the round 4 of the Russian Chess Premier League, which is played in the famous Grand Hotel Zhemchuzhina in Sochi, University (Belorechensk) defeated Lada (Samara Region) 4-2, and Siberia (Novosibirsk) crushed SHSM (Moscow) 4.5-1.5. There two teams continue to lead the race with completely equal score: both have 8 match points and 15 board points. Their individual encounter is due in the next round. 

Other matches ended as follows: Kazan lost to Bronze Horseman 2-4, Malachite defeated Yamal 4-2. 

Standings after 4 rounds:

1-2. University and Siberia – both 8 (15), 3. Bronze Hourseman – 6 (16), 4. Malachite – 4 (13), 5. Lada – 2 (10.5), 6. SHSM – 2 (10), 7. Kazan – 1 (9), 8. Yamal – 1 (7.5).

University-Siberia, SHSM-Kazan, Bronze Horseman-Malachite, Yamal-Lada.

In the women's championship SDYUSSHOR (St. Petersburg) defeated University (Belorechensk) 3-1 and took a sole lead in the event. Boavista (Moscow) drew with SHSM (Moscow) 2-2, Ugra (Khanty-Mansiysk) crushed Glek Academy 4-0, Ladja (Kazan) lost to Grozny (Chechen Republic) 1.5-2.5, Donchanka (Rostov) defeated Kuban (Krasnodar) 2.5-1.5.
