Siberia Wins European Club Cup
Bronze Horseman and Ugra won the bronze medals.
The European Club Cup ended in Skopje on October 24. In the last round of the open tournament Siberia drew with Obiettivo Risarcimento Radova, and won the event, as SOCAR also played a draw with Bronze Horseman.
Siberia (Novosibirsk) became European championships! The names of the winners are Vladimir Kramnik, Levon Aronian, Alexander Grischuk, Li Chao, Wang Yue, Anton Korobov, Dmitry Kokarev, Dmitry Bocharov, captain – Pavel Maletin.
SOCAR, Bronze Horseman, and Obiettivo Risarcimento Padova all shared the second place. The best tie-break gave SOCAR the second place.
Bronze Horseman from St. Petersburg won the bronze medals. The team line-up: Peter Svidler, Lenier Dominguez, Nikita Vitiugov, Maxim Matlakov, Maxim Rodstein, Vladimir Fedoseev, Ildar Khairullin, Ivan Saric, captai – Vladimir Bykov.
Georgian superclub Nona defended their title of 2014, winning the women's championship. The names of the winners: Nana Dzagnidze, Bela Khotenashvili, Lela Javakhishvili, Nino Batsiashvili, Miranda Mikadzhe, captain – Marika Japaridze.
Gambit from Macedonia took the second place.
Russian Ugra (Khanty-Mansiysk) took the bronze – Anna Ushenina, Natalia Pogonina, Lilit Mkrtchian, Marina Guseva, Baira Kovanova, captain – Pavel Lobach.
