Russian Junior Club Championship Starts in Petergof
Boys and girls will plays classical chess, rapid chess and blitz.

The Russian Junior Club Championship under 19 is played in Petergof, the beautiful suburb of St. Petersburg, between July 31 - August 11. It begins with classical chess, and concludes with blitz championships on August 10 and rapid championships on August 10-11. All tournaments are 9-round Swiss.
26 clubs take part in the classical chess championship. "Yunost Moskvy-1" is the rating favorite of the event (average rating - 2348), with Grigory Oparin, Vladimir Zakhartsov, Maxim Vavulin, Elizaveta Kisteneva, and Konstantin Savinkov. The second seed club (2276) is "Petrovskaya Ladya-1" from St. Petersburg - Aleksey Zenzera, Alexander Timerkhanov, Marat Askerov, Anna Styazhkina, Viktoria Chernyak. The second team from Moscow has a third average rating (2236) - Semyon Lomasov, Ivan Eletsky, Alexander Tarasov, Ekaterina Borisova.
The classical chess championship is played on August 1-9.
