2019 Superbet Rapid & Blitz Begins in Bucharest
The GCT stage is held on November 6-10.
The 2019 Superbet Rapid & Blitz, which is the sixth stage of the 2019 Grand Chess Tour, started in the capital of Romania on November 5.
Participants:
Fabiano Caruana (USA), Anish Giri (Netherlands), Viswanathan Anand (India), Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan), Wesley So (USA), Sergey Karjakin (Russia), Levon Aronian (Armenia), Vladislav Artemiev (Russia), Le Quang Liem (Vietnam), and Anton Korobov (Ukraine).
The players will compete over 9 rounds of rapid and 18 rounds of blitz chess for a prize fund of $150,000. There are 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss in a Rapid game, and 1 point for a win, 1⁄2 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss in a Blitz game.
The match days: November 6-8 (rapid) and November 9-10 (blitz). The games will start at 4 p.m. (Moscow time).
