Aeroflot Open Dates Announced
The prize fund is 140,000 Euros.
The traditional Aeroflot Open festival will take place on February 20 – March 3 in the Kosmos Hotel, Moscow. The festival consists of three Swiss events – tournament A (participants rated 2550 and higher), tournament B (ratings 2299-2550), tournament C (rated below 2300 and unrated). The winner of the tournament A will be invited to the supertournament in Dortmund.
On March 2, the Aeroflop Cup blitz tournament will be organized.
Total prize fund of the festival is 140,000 Euros.
Special prizes for seniors, women and juniors (total amount is 2,500 Euros) are set. Each player can get only one prize, the highest one.
The organizers are Aeroflot – Russian Airlines, Russian Chess Federation, and Association of Chess Federations.
