Aleksey Grebnev Maintains Leadership at World Youth Championship

Round 7 is over in Italy.


The U14, U16 and U18 World Youth Championship resumed in Montesilvano (Italy) following a rest day. 
 
In Round 7 of the U18 open section, Aleksey Grebnev celebrated his sixth victory and now has 6.5 points. Konstantin Popov and Volodar Murzin have 5 points each. Ayan Allahverdiyeva (Azerbaijan) and Rochelle Wu (USA) are leading the U-18 girls' group with 6 points scored by each. Anna Zhurova is 1 point behind.  
 
Jakub Seemann (Poland) and Leonardo Costa (Germany) both have 6.5 points in the U16 open category. Tamerlan Chyndygyr is 2 points behind. In the U16 girls' competition, Wang Chuqiao (China) is still in the lead with 6.5 points. Alexandra Shvedova is half a point behind her. 
 
Pham Tran Gia Phuc (Vietnam) is leading the U14 open group with 6.5 points. Savva Vetokhin and Aleksey Prokhorov share 5.5 points. In the group of U14 girls, Anastasia Kirtadze (Georgia) is leading the race with 6.5 points under her belt. Anna Shukhman is trailing by 1 point.
