Anastasia Bodnaruk Wins International Women's Festival in Tashkent

Fourth place goes to Yana Zhapova.

The 2nd International Women's Chess Festival, in which more than 100 chess players took part, took place in the capital city of Uzbekistan. The competition was played to the Swiss system in 9 rounds, the time control being 90 minutes to the end of the game plus a 30-second increment per move, beginning with move one.
 
Group "A" saw the World Women's Rapid Champion Anastasia Bodnaruk (Russia) take an unshared first place with 7.5 points. Half a point behind her are Swaminathan Soumya (India) and Mariam Mkrtchyan (Armenia). Yana Zhapova (Russia), Mobina Alinasab (Iran), and Irene Kharisma Sukandar (Indonesia) scored 6.5 points each.
