Dmitry Bocharov Wins a Fischer Random Event in Voronezh
The Alekhine Memorial started on June 10.
The 19th international festival Voronezh 2015 – Alekhine Memorial started on June 10. The first day of the festival featured a Fischer Random event, attended by more than 50 players.
Grandmaster Dmitry Bocharov won the tournament with 6 points out of 7. Three players finished half a point behind – GM Aleksey Goganov, IM Mikhail Demidov, and Oleg Vastrukhin.
The festival also includes traditional Master Open – a stage of the Russian Cup (June 12-20), FIDE Open (June 12-21), tournament for disabled people Sail of Hope (June 13-19), rapid chess event (June 11), and blitz tournament (June 17).
