Daniil Dubov Joins the Leaders at the Russian Higher League
Alina Kashlinskaya and Marina Nechaeva lead the women's section.
Round 7 of the Russian Championships Higher League is played in Rosa Khutor. In the open section Daniil Dubov defeated Evgeny Alekseev to join the leaders Sanan Sjugirov, Evgeny Romanov, and Sergey Volkov. The games Volkov-Dubov and Romanov-Sjugirov will be played at the first boards in round 8. In the women's event all leaders' games ended in a draw. In a real thriller Ekaterina Ubiennykh defeated Anastasia Savina. The following games will be played in round 8: Girya (5) - Kashlinskaya (5.5), Nechaeva (5.5) - Ubiennykh (5), Assaubayeva (4.5) - Shuvalova (5).
