Daniil Dubov Defeats Peter Svidler at FIDE Grand Prix Leg in Hamburg
The Russian will face Jan-Krzysztof Duda in semi-final.
The quarterfinals of the FIDE Grand Prix leg organized by World Chess in Hamburg finished on November 10. A tiebreak between the Russians Daniil Dubov and Peter Svidler was played.
Both rapid games were quite eventful but nevertheless they ended in a draw. The first "10+10" encounter was won by Daniil Dubov and then he fixed a draw from the position of strength to advance to the semi-final.
