Dmitriy Khegay Wins Russian Student Championship
Daria Pustovoitova won the women's event.
The combined individual and team student championship of the Russian students sports union ended in Belgorod. Daria Pustovoitova (Ural State Mining University) took first place in the women's section. Alfiya Nasybullina (USMU) was second, Maria Piskunova took third.
Dmitriy Khegay (Siberian Federal University) and Vadim Moiseenko (USMU) scored the same number of points, but Khegay's tie-break was superior, therefore he became a champion. Semyon Khanin (USMU) took third place.
In the men's section, Ural State Mining University took first place in the team competition, Siberian Federal University was second, Belgorod State Technological University was third. In the women's section, the same three universities arrived at the podium, with Belgorod finishing second, and SFU taking third place.
