Dmitry Andreikin Wins European Blitz Championship

Russian players won both titles in Tallinn.

The capital of Estonia hosted the European Blitz and Rapid championships, and both tournaments ended in favor of Russian players. Following Alexander Riazantsev's triumph in rapid chess, Dmitry Andreikin completely dominated the blitz championship. 

Andreikin collected 22 points in 26 games, 1.5 points clear of the runner-up Rauf Mamedov. The Russian won all his mini-matches except the last round clash with Sergey Zhugalko (Belarus), which ended in a draw. 

With this win, Andreikin gained 96 rating points, and his current blitz rating has crossed the 2800 mark.
