Eight Russians Qualify for Final of FIDE Online World U10-18 Rapid Championships

The knockout stage will be held on December 19-23.

The European continental selection event of the FIDE Online World Cadets & Youth Rapid Championships finished on December 10. Boys and girls were competing in five age groups - under 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 years old. Three best players from each category qualify for the Final stage (knockout event, December 19-23).

Eight Russian players advanced to the Final: the lucky qualifiers are Ivan Zemlyanskii (B10), Aleksandr Usov (B10), Ivan Saveljev (B12), Erdem Khubukshanov (B14), Diana Preobrazhenskaya (G10), Veronika Shubenkova (G14), Alisa Nur-Mukhametova (G16), and Elizaveta Solozhenkina (G18).

Qualified participants will be joined by the players with the personal right in the Final. Among the latter are Andrey Esipenko, Volodar Murzin, Leya Garifullina, Alexandra Shvedova, and Valeria Kleymenova.
