Ernesto Inarkiev Gives Blindfold Simul Against School Children from Pskov Oblast
The event took place in the chess club of Ostankino.
On October 26, school children from the Gymnasium named after the first Russian master Alexander Petrov (Opochka, Pskov Oblast) visited Ostankino Technical Center in Moscow. The day started with an interesting tour of different studios where popular TV programmes are made. After the excursion, children took part in a simultaneous exhibition against Ernesto Inarkiev. The grandmaster played with a mask on his eyes. A former European Champion won all the games after three hours of play. A well-known 4-year-old chess prodigy Misha Osipov, famous for his games with Anatoly Karpov and Sergey Karjakin in various TV shows, offered the most stubborn resistance.
The grandmaster highly estimated abilities and potential of his opponents, who are participating in the Chess in Schools project (conducted by the RCF with support of Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation) and wished them good luck in chess.
