European Team Championship, Round 3 Results
Open: Russia-Spain 2.5-1.5, Women: Russia-Italy 3-1.
The 3rd round of the European Team Championship was played on November 15 in Reykjavik.
Russian men's team defeated Spain 2.5-1.5 – win by Ian Nepomniachtchi, draws by Svidler, Tomashevsky, and Jakovenko.
Ukraine defeated Azerbaijan 2.5-1.5, France drew with Hungary, Georgia drew with Poland.
Thus, only two team won all three starting matches – Russia and Ukraine, and they will meet in the round 4.
Russian women's team defeated Italy 3-1 – Kosteniuk, Lagno, and Goryachkina won their games, Gunina suffered a defeat.
Georgia defeated Ukraine 2.5-1.5. Both Russia and Georgia have three match victories and will play each other in the next round.
All games start at 6 pm.
