European Individual Championship Begins in Kosovo

20 players are representing Russia.

The 17th European championship takes place in Gjakova, Kosovo, on May 11-24. 262 players from 39 countries will compete for the title. 

The rating favorite is David Navara (Czech Republic) – 2735. Defending champion is Evgeny Najer (Russia).

The event is 11-round Swiss. Playing days are May 12-27 and 19-23. All rounds except the last one start at 4:30 pm MSK, the last round starts at noon.
