First Blitz Day is Over at Tata Steel Chess India

Magnus Carlsen leads by a wide margin.


First 9 rounds of the blitz part of the 2019 Tata Steel Chess India, the seventh stage of the Grand Chess Tour, were played in Kolkata on November 25.  

Like in rapid, Magnus Carlsen has taken the lead in blitz with 6.5 points out of 9. Hikaru Nakamura and Ian Nepomniachtchi have scored 5.5 points each. 

After rapid and the first day of blitz, Magnus Carlsen is heading the race with 21.5 points. Hikaru Nakamura is trailing by 5 points. Ian Nepomniachtchi has got 12.5 points.  




The final part of blitz (9 rounds) will be played on November 26.
