Five Rounds of Rapid Grand Prix Final Played in Khanty-Mansiysk
The first symbolic move was made by Vasily Filipenko.
The first five rounds of the Rapid Grand Prix Final were played in the capital of Ugra. President of the Ugra Chess Federation Vasily Filipenko and Head of the State Policy Management in the field of Physical Culture and Sports of Ugra Sofya Konukh gave a start to the tournament by making the first symbolic moves in the games Jakovenko - Pridorozhni and Pontratov - Lysyj respectively. Dmitry Bocharov is leading the race with 4.5 points out of 5. Dmitry Kokarev is half a point behind, while Pavel Ponkratov and Dmitry Jakovenko are trailing by 1 point.
