Five Rounds Played at Skilling Open

The leader is Anish Giri.


The first five rounds of the Skilling Open, the first event of Magnus Carlsen's $1.5 million Champions Chess Tour, were played on November 22 on Chess24.com.

Anish Giri has taken the sole lead with 4 points out of 5. Magnus Carlsen and David Anton are half a point behind. The Russian Ian Nepomniachtchi has got 3 points, Peter Svidler 2 points, and Sergey Karjakin 1 point.

Round 6 pairings:

Maxime Vachier-Lagrave - David Anton, Alireza Firouzja - Teimour Radjabov, Levon Aronian -  Magnus Carlsen, Jan-Krzysztof Duda - Ian Nepomniachtchi, Ding Liren - Peter Svidler, Anish Giri - Wesley So, Sergey Karjakin - Santosh Vidit, Hikaru Nakamura - Le Quang Liem. 

The time control is 15 minutes for all moves, with a 10-second increment from move 1. The rounds start at 8 PM (Moscow time). 

The prize fund is $100,000, with a $30,000 top prize.
