Four Rounds of Norway Chess Played in Stavanger

The fourth round of the Norway Chess super tournament was played in Stavanger on the 10th of September. A win in a classical game is worth 3 points and a loss 0. If the players draw, they play an Armageddon game, where the winner earns 1.5 points and the loser 1 point.

Richard Rapport defeated Alireza Firouzja as White to strengthen the leadership. The games Carlsen - Nepomniachtchi and Tari - Karjakin were drawn. In the "sudden death" games, the world champion won against the challenger with the white pieces, while Karjakin beat Tari as Black.

1. Richard Rapport - 8.5 points (4)
2. Magnus Carlsen - 6 (4)
3-4. Sergey Karjakin, Ian Nepomniachtchi - 4 (3)
5-6. Alireza Firouzja, Aryan Tari - 4 (4). 

It's a rest day on the 11th of September. However, Ian Nepomniachtchi and Sergey Karjakin will play their postponed game of the first round.
