Gelfand Defeats Inarkiev 12-6
The last three games were played at a height of 100 meters.
A friendly match between Boris Gelfand (Israel) and Ernesto Inarkiev (Russia) ended in Magas. The final three rapid games (15 minutes + 10 seconds) were played at the scenic overlook on the Tower of Consent, a hundred meters above the ground. The Tower of Consent was built by the philanthropist Alikhan Kharsiev, who also supported the chess festival in Magas.
Boris Gelfand won the 10th game, drew the 11th game, and lost the 12th game. Therefore, the final score of the match is 12-6 in favor of the guest player.
