Ian Nepomniachtchi Wins Gideon Japhet Cup
Arkadij Naiditsch is the winner of open tournament A.
A big chess festival in memory of Gideon Japhet finished in Jerusalem. Rounds 9 and 10 were played in the main rapid double round-robin tournament on July 6th. The Russian Ian Nepomniachtchi defeated Georg Meier (Germany) 1.5-0.5. Peter Svidler (Russia) made two draws with Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine). The encounter between Boris Gelfand (Israel) and Anna Muzychuk (Ukraine) also finished with two draws.
