Indian Schoolchildren Lead Belaya Ladya Final Tournament

Dagestan and Novosibirsk Oblast are sharing 2-3 places.

The 48th final tournament of the traditional all-Russian scholastic chess team event Belaya Ladya goes on in Dagomys. The Indian schoolchildren are in a sole lead after two rounds, with 8 points out of 8. Teams from Dagestan and Novosibirsk Oblast are 1 point behind. 

80 Russian and 17 foreign (Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, England, Estonia, Greece, India, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldavia, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia) teams are taking part in the competition. The organizers are the Russian Chess Federation and Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation. The competition is also supported by Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation, Renault Russia Company, Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (FGC UES), and PhosAgro.

On June 4, rounds 3 and 4 will be played.
