25th Keres Memorial Opens in Tallinn

The 25th Paul Keres Memorial – ACP Open takes place in Tallinn on January 7-10. More than 200 players are participating in this grand rapid chess event, including Peter Svidler, Alexandra Kosteniuk, Nikita Vitiugov, Valentina Gunina, Alexander Motylev, Maxim Matlakov, Pavel Tregubov, Evgeny Sveshnikov, Yury Balashov, Boris Gelfand, Emil Sutovsky, Pavel Eljanov, Daniel Friedman, Pia Cramling, Ferenz Berkesz, Sergey Tiviakov, and Igor Kovalenko. 


The event is the 11-round Swiss with 15'+10'' time control. The playing days are January 8-10.

FIDE named this year a Year of Keres. A stamp and a 2 Euro coin with Paul Keres' portrait are made for the occasion.
