Magnus Carlsen Pulls Ahead at Altibox Norway Chess
The world champion defeated Fabiano Caruana in Round 4.

The fourth round of the Altibox Norway Chess 2020 super tournament was played in Stavanger on October 8.
Magnus Carlsen beat Fabiano Caruana with the white pieces, while the games Aronian - Firouzja and Tari - Duda were drawn. In the Armageddon, Firouzja won with Black, and Tari bested his opponent with White.

1. Magnus Carlsen - 9 points
2. Levon Aronian - 8
3-4. Alireza Firouzja, Fabiano Caruana - 7 points
5. Aryan Tari - 1.5
6. Jan-Krzysztof Duda - 1.
