Mikhail Demidov Wins Polugaevsky Memorial
The Russian Cup event ended in Samara.
The final games of the Lev Polugaevsky Memorial were played on July 11 in Samara. The tournament attracted more than 120 players.
International master Mikhail Demidov (Russia) collected 7.5 points and took clear first place. Half a point behind him were Azamat Utegaliev (Kazakhstan), and grandmasters Sergey Yudin and Ivan Rozum (both Russia).
WFM Lyubov Markelova showed the best score among women – 5 points.
