Hikaru Nakamura Wins Zurich Chess Challenge 2016
Vishy Anand remained second due to a worse tie-break.
The 2016 Zurich supertournament ended on Monday, February 15. The classical chess part of the event was carried out under a new time format – 40 minutes plus 10 second per move for the entire game. In blitz the players had 4 minutes and 2 bonus seconds. Wins in classical chess were rewarded with 2 points (1 points for a draw), wins in blitz cost 1 point (0.5 for a draw).
