Nikita Matinyan Wins Dvorkovich Memorial
The traditional festival ended in Taganrog.
The 11th Vladimir Dvorkovich Memorial ended in Taganrog. 74 players from Russia, Mongolia, and Ukraine took part in the event.
The closing ceremony of the festival was attended by the widow of Vladimir Yakovlevich Dvorkovich, Galina Lvovna Dvorkovich, acting mayor of Taganrog Alexey Makhov, Deputy Head of the City Duma Inna Titarenko, President of Rostov Chess Federation Sergey Nesterov, Rector of Southern Federal University Marina Borovskaya, and chief arbiter of the event, IA Victor Berezin.
Nikita Matinyan from Balakovo won the main tournament, Alexey Kovalchuk from Taganrog finished second, Pavel Kotenko from Rostov-on-Don finished third.
