Petrovskaya Ladya Leads in Belgorod

3 rounds of the Russian Youth Team Championship are played in Belgorod. Sportsmen of Petrovskaya Ladya shot ahead having defeated the team from Pskov Oblast.The chess players of Junior Sports School named after Mikhail Botvinnik and Junior Sports School №2 from Kurgan made a draw and are sharing 2-3 places.
The highest-ranked team - Youth of Moscow-1 - is on the fourth place: each round its members lose one point. Thus, in round 3, Semen Lomasov (2470) lost to Sergei Lobanov (2421).
The rating favorite Alexandr Triapshko (2508) still cannot find «his» play: this time he drew against Valery Skatchkov (2224).
August 4 is the tournament’s free day, but a blitz tournament with 23 teams participating will be held. The top seed is the team from Kurgan Oblast.
In parallel with the main event, the 7th Belogorie Cup is being held. There are 6 events in its programme.
