Polina Shuvalova Becomes World Junior Girls Champion

Elizaveta Solozhenkina took third place.


The World Junior Championships finished in New Delhi on October 25.

Evgeny Shtembuliak (Ukraine) became the world junior champion having scored 9 points out of 11. Shat Sargsyan is half a point behind. Aram Hakobyan (both from Armenia) won the bronze medal with 8 points. Volodar Murzin (Russia) is on the tenth place with 7 points.   

Polina Shuvalova (Russia) convincingly won the girls' tournament with 9.5 points. Mobina Alinasab (Iran) is on the second place with 9 points. The Russian Elizaveta Solozhenkina won the bronze medal having scored 8 points and edged out Mariia Berdnyk (Ukraine) and Hagawane Aakanksha (India). Dinara Dordzhieva (Russia) finished on the 10th place with 7 points.
