Princes Lead Nutcracker-2018 in Moscow After 4 Rounds

Rapid is ahead. 

The fourth round of the traditional generation tournament Nutcracker-2018 was played in the Central Chess Club in Moscow on December 20. 

The score was tied in the "Kings" vs. "Princes" match-tournament as the games Lomasov - Gelfand, Paravyan - Najer, Leko - Sarana, and Short - Esipenko were drawn. 

The score is 17-15 in favour of "Princes" (in standard chess, players are awarded 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a lost game). 

Pairings and schedule of the rapid part are attached.

In the Boys and Girls’ tournament, Kamaliya Bulatova lost to Volodar Murzin, Aleksey Grebnev defeated Ekaterina Goltseva, while the games Obolentseva - Makoveev and Safin - Dimitrova were drawn.  



The score is 17-15 in favour of Team Girls.

There is both online and video broadcast with grandmasters' commentaries organized on the RCF website. Chess lovers are welcome to visit the tournament and listen to grandmasters commenting on the games. The entrance is free.
