Rapid Grand Prix Final Announces the Players
The event will run on December 12-15 in Khanty-Mansiysk.
For the first time the final stage of Russian Rapid Grand Prix will be played in an all-play-all format. The drawing of lots is scheduled on December 12, and in the next three days the players will 15 rapid games, five on each day.
Savchenko and Artemiev withdrew from the event, and they were replaced by Evdokimov and Alekseev. The organization committee nominated two additional players – Pridorozhni and Girya.
Therefore, the lineup has been determined: Rublevsky, Riazantsev, Ponkratov, Bocharov, Khismatullin, Smirnov, Alekseev, Shomoev, Matelin, Belous, Pridorozhni, Evdokimov, Girya, Anikonov (winner of the junior qualifier), Ubiennykh (winner of the women's qualifier), Dordzhieva (winners of the girls' qualifier).
