Round 1 of Russian Team Championships Played in Sochi

There are 88 teams in five groups.


Monday, May 1, Round 1 of the Russian Team Championships finished in Grand Hotel "Zhemchuzhina" in the city of Sochi. There are as many as 88 teams in five groups: 10 teams in the Premier League, 14 teams in the Women's Championship, 36 in the Higher League, 18 teams in the 2009 and younger age championship among boys, and 10 teams in the 2009 and younger age championship among girls. There are five Russian grandmasters rated above 2700 in the competition: Alexander Grischuk, Daniil Dubov (both representing team KPRF), Sergey Karjakin, Sanan Sjugirov (Moscow Oblast), and Vladislav Artemiev (Ladya).
