Round Five of Russian Team Championships Played in Sochi

Teams from Saint Petersburg set the pace.


The fifth round of the Russian Team Championships was played in Sochi on May 5. 

Southern Ural (Chelyabinsk region) leads the senior event with 10 match points. ShSM Legacy Square Capital (Moscow) is 2 points behind. The juniors' tournament is headed by KTK-Kuzbass (Kemerovo region) with 9 points; the team is chased by chess players from Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod region. Yamal (Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district) has taken the sole lead in the Higher League with 9 points, while Botvinnik Youth Sports School (Moscow) is trailing by 1 point. 

SShOR (Saint Petersburg) is leading the women's tournament with 9 match points. SShOR is followed by Ugra - 8 points, Bukavushki (Samara region), Istra-a.lv (Moscow), and Moscow region - 6 points.

Results in Premier League. Bronze Horseman (Saint Petersburg) defeated Siberia (Novosibirsk region) 4-2, Guards of Law and Order (Saint Petersburg) - Sima-Land (Sverdlovsk region) 3-3, Molodezhka (Tyumen region) - Ladya (Tatarstan) 3.5-2.5, SShOR (Saint Petersburg) - ShSM Legacy Square Capital (Moscow) 1-5, Men's Movement (Saint Petersburg) - Moscow region 2.5-3.5.

Standings: 1. Bronze Horseman - 10 points, 2-3. Sima-Land, Molodezhka - 8, etc.
