Russia Draws India in the Open Section
And beats Georgia in the women's section.
In the round 10 of the Olympiad, Russia drew the match against India – a victory by Kramnik, a loss by Karjakin, and two draws by Nepomniachtchi and Grischuk.
Our main competitors won their matches: USA defeated Georgia 2.5-1.5, and Ukraine outplayed Czech Republic 3-1. After 10 rounds USA and Ukraine are in the lead with 18 points, and Russia is two points behind. It is highly likely that these teams will finish in the same order after the final round played tomorrow, as all of them are facing relatively easy opponents.
Russian women's team defeated Georgia, thanks to victories of Gunina and Kosteniuk, a draw by Goryachkina and a loss by Girya.
In other matches, China defeated Poland 2.5-1.5, India drew with Ukraine, and USA drew with Mongolia.
With one round to go, China leads with 18 points, Russia has 16 points, Poland, Ukraine, India, and USA have 15 points.
The key match of the Olympiad China-Russia is scheduled for the final round.
