Russian Chess Solving Championships Take Place in Tula

Evgeny Fomichev and Svetlana Tishova win.


The 26th Russian Chess Solving Championship took place in Tula on April 7-8. 29 competitors from 15 regions of Russia participated in the open event.  

Evgeny Fomichev (Nizhny Novgorod Oblast) became the champion of Russia with 69 points out of 90. Alexander Leontiev (Moscow) is second with 67.6 points. The bronze medal was gained by Anatoly Mukoseev (Tver) with 65.7 points.  

The 4th women's championship (8 participants) was won by Svetlana Tishova (Moscow) who scored 30 points. Lilia Kosolapova (18.8 points) and Alexandra Safronova (12.2 points, both from Tula) took second and third places respectively.
