Russian Cup Finals Open in Khanty-Mansiysk
Round 1 parings are determined.
The finals the Russian Cup among men and Women were officially opened in the capital of Ugra. Both tournaments are knock-out events, with four rounds for men and three rounds for women (16 and 8 players respectively). The Chief Arbiter IA Mikhail Kryukov conducted the drawing of lots and declared that an illegal move wouldn’t lead to an immediate loss, but the opponent would get a time bonus.
Round 1 parings:
Women:
Kovanova - Schepetkova, Mirzoeva - Shaydullina, Tomilova - Maltsevskaya, Belenkaya - Makarenko.
Men:
Grachev - Golubov, Predke - Shaposhnikov, Jakovenko - Triapishko, Paravyan - Chigaev, Kokarev - Moiseenko, Alekseenko - Lintchevski, Ponkratov - Lomasov, Gordievsky - Frolyanov.
Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Ugra Igor Gubkin and Head of Otkrytie Bank Peter Suvorov gave speeches at the Opening Ceremony.
The tournament will be broadcasted on our website. The games will start on December 5 at 1 p.m. (Moscow time), the tie-break, if necessary, will be played on the second playing day.
