Russian Globus is Among Leaders of European Club Cup

In round 3 of the European Club Cup in Turkey, the Russian teams from Moscow and Saint Petersburg drew their match. Maxim Matlakov’s vcitory over Evgeniy Najer was balanced by Vladimir Malakhov who outplayed Vladimir Fedoseev. Globus bested Ave Novy Bor 3.5-2.5; Sergey Karjakin defeated Markus Ragger to help his team win the match. 

The open section is lead by Globus, Odlar Yurdu (Azerbaijan), Gambit Asseco See (Macedonia) and LSG Leiden (Netherlands) with 6 match points out of 6. Mednyi Vsadnik and SHSM Legacy Square Capital are 1 match point behind. In round 4, Globus will face the team from Macedonia. 

In the women’s event, SHSM Legacy Square Capital drew the match with Cs Studentesc Medicina Timisoara (Romania), Ugra lost to Nona (Georgia) 1.5-2.5. 

Bossa Nova (Belarus) is heading the tournament with 6 match points. SHSM Legacy Square Capital is among those teams which are trailing by 2 points.
