Russian Men's Team Beats Turkmenistan
Our women's team defeated Ecuador in the second round.
In the second round of the 42nd World Chess Olympiad, Russian men's team defeated Turkmenistan 4-0 – wins by Sergey Karjakin, Vladimir Kramnik, Ian Nepomniachtchi, and Alexander Grischuk.
Russian women's team secured a 4-0 win against Ecuador – wins by Valentina Gunina, Aleksandra Goryachkina, Natalija Pogonina, and Olga Girya.
Philippines' women's team sensationally defeated Georgia 2.5-1.5.
In the third round Russia plays Moldova in the open section and Uzbekistan in the women's section.
